Installation instructions for Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 Android Kitkat ROM:
1. Download a Tab 3 7.0 custom recovery and flash it via odin, I recommend the TWRP KitKat v2.8.2.0 recovery. Then Download my latest TranchidaKat v5.3 ROM Build.
2. In recovery first backup your current ROM (very important)
3. In recovery mode if you have TWRP just wipe everything but internal storage and external sd card. If you are using latest TWRP Recovery please make sure after you wipe you uncheck mount system in twrp mount menu.
4. Now in your recovery install my TranchidaKat v5.3 ROM from internal or external sdcard, you should wait at least 3 to 10 minutes for the ROM to install.

Custom recovery for any android device including tablet or phone allows one to flash custom firmwares, ROMs and all sorts of hacks. Same are now available for the  T110, T210, T211, T217T versions of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 android tablet. Download links are given at the bottom of this post.

2. Reboot system into download mode and connect to the computer using USB cable. Now in the ODIN app, click on the Start button. You can flash this TWRP over CWM as well. Also you can install super SU straight from TWRP to attain root. Just grab the package from super SU website.

Download Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 Marshmallow Android 6 ROM. An xda developer user has churned out a a custom ROM that lets you get latest version of android which is v6 marshmallow on the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 tablet. The ROM is a no-frill ROM and is based on pure AOSP experience. You need at least TWRP 2.8.7.1 to flash this Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 Marshmallow Android 6 ROM.

Almost everything is working on this Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 Marshmallow Android 6 ROM except for chromecast, houdini, RIL, MHL, secure videos like widevine, HW audio decoding and permissive SELinux.

Download P5200 P5210 P5220 custom TWRP recoveries. If you wanted to swap CWM for TWRP on your Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 tablet, you will glad to know that it is now possible to do that. TWRP is just like CWM but allows the user to navigate using touchscreen instead of volume up / down buttons. Keep in mind that by installing TWRP recovery on your tablet, warranty gets void.

On the plus side, after installing TWRP, you will be install things that are normally not allowed to be installed by operating system. For instance, you can root using the ZIP file. Also you will be able to flash custom ROMs on the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1.

How to flash the TWRP on Galaxy Tab 3 10.1

Download TWRP from bottom of this post and Odin3.07 (ODIN link in this post).
Get your Tab in DOWNLOAD mode (hold power and volume down together for few seconds), and connect to your PC
Open Odin, and click on PDA to select the recovery you want to flash
Click START and wait till it’s finished
Reboot, and enjoy.

Android 6.0 marshmallow firmware for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 is available for download. This is an un official build and based on cyanogen mod 13. Keep in mind that not a whole lot works on this Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 Android 6 Marshmallow ROM. For instance, video camera does not work as expected and the developer has not tested calling and data features on it as T310.

Steps for flashing the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 Android 6 Marshmallow ROM:
– Make sure you’re running latest TWRP 2.8.7.0
– Copy GApps and ROM ZIP files to your internal or external SD Card
– Boot into Recovery
– Commit a factory reset / data wipe.
– Flash the ROM zip file
– Flash GApps zip
– Reboot

Flashing this will void warranty on your Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 so if your android tablet is under warranty, it is not suggested to flash this custom ROM.

For flashing custom firmwares a k a ROMs on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 P5200 model, you will need TWRP which is a type of custom recovery. To flash this recovery, you will need ODIN application on your desktop computer, downloadable from links given below.

Flashing process is very simple, select the TWRP file and select it in the System field of ODIN. Before flashing, put your Tab 3 10.1 P5200 in download mode by holding down power + home + volume down button simultaneously.
