We all love grabbing stock wallpapers of upcoming and new phones and tablets. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 is already selling like hotcakes and one of its user was kind enough to send us its stock wallpapers that comes bundled with the official ROM. Here they are.
Most of us hate the Samsung’s TouchWiz interface but some of us, including me love it. That is why I prefer keeping myself to stock ROMs on my Galaxy Note 2 7.0 (includes P3110, P3113) and then rooting them by the usual methods. Now, a new firmware has cropped on XDA that is rooted, deodexed, debloated; has busy box installed and is completely stock. Here is how it looks like.
Samsung did not sell a lot of Galaxy tab 8.9 tablets and due to that it never released Android 4.2.2, let alone Android 4.1.1 jelly bean for it. XDA is here to rescue and they were able to get everything working except for HDMI output. Even the keyboard dock works with it. This is a CM10.1 build so you get very fast and stock Android experience.

CyanogenMod 10.1, more popularly known as CM10.1 has been successfully ported to Galaxy Tab Plus. There are some issues though. For example – USB mounting of internal storage does not work. Other things that does not work include HDMI, IR blaster, Bluetooth and phone calls crash often.

Samsung has started rolling out official Android 4.1.2 ROM for the Galaxy Tab Plus users. The company released official ICS for it back in August 30, 2012, where its users were updated from Android 3.2 honeycomb to Android 4.0.1.

A couple of days back, Samsung surprised the whole world by churning out the successor of Tab 2 that was destined to be released at IFA 2013. Anyway, we have the review device with us and we were lucky enough to run a few benchmarks on it to see how it compare benchmark wise to the Galaxy Tab 2.
As you can see, the Tab 3 7 inch scored much higher than the Tab 2, which scored mere 1165 points in GFXBench 2.5 Egypt HD C24Z16 test. However, it is evident that even the new Galaxy Tab 3 is no match for the Apple’s iPad Mini released last year that carried the processor of iPad 2, the Apple A5. The iPad Mini scored 2855 in the same benchmark test.

For some reason, Samsung did not activate full tablet UI on the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0. There is a way to enjoy full tablet UI by using Xposed installer and Xposed TabletUI Trigger. However, you need your Tab 2 7.0 to be rooted for it to work.
Officially Samsung states that the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 supports micro SD cards upto 32GB. That is because the Tab 2 7.0 was launched with Android 4.0.4 ICS which does not natively supports 64GB micro SD cards.

Many developers have churned out Android 4.1.2, also known as, jelly bean firmware for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 tablet. This one is AOSP which has been ported from Motorola’s XOOM.
