So, you just got yourself a shiny new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 (model # P5210), and want to root it so that you can mess around with the system and install applications that require super user (SuperSU) permission? Just follow these steps and you will have a rooted Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 P5210.
Disclaimer – I am not responsible if anything goes wrong with your tablet. While I have tested the steps and they work just fine on mine, don’t blame me if you did not follow steps correctly.
So, here are the steps. Follow them carefully.
Download firmware (link) and Odin 3.07 (link).
Boot into download mode. (hold power and volume down together for few seconds until you enter this special mode.)
Fire up Odin on your computer. Click on PDA and then find Pre_Rooted_P5210XXUAMG6_P5210OXXAMG3.tar.md5
Make sure RE-PARTITION is NOT checked.
Click start and wait.
Once done it will reboot into (stock) recovery and finish installing.
Once done and booted just open SuperSU and update the binary. Not by CWM but the other.
Done. You have successfully rooted your Galaxy Tab 3 10.1.
