In this article, we will guide you on how to enable voice calling on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. To enable it, you need to ensure you are running the 3G variant of it which has model number P7500. The easiest way to confirm this is by checking if it has SIM card slot – if it has, then you can enable voice calling on it.
Requirements for enabling voice calling on Tab 10.1
– Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 3G [GT-P7500].
– You must have a custom recovery like TWRP for Tab 10.1 onboard.
– Any ROM based on Stock ICS 4.0.4 or the official stock ICS for tab 10.1. It might work on other ROMs too but I have tested it only on P7500 running stock android 4.0.4.
The procedure
1- Reboot to Recovery Mode. Do this by pressing and holding down volume up key and power button together until your tablet reboot to recovery.
2- Make a Full Backup. [optional]
3- Install File CWM_I9103XXLQ3_Modem.zip – download this zip file from here.
4- Install File Voice Call Enable [Stock] ICS 4.0.4 ROM Build 1.zip
5- Wipe Cache & Dalvik Cache.
6- Reboot the tab 10.1 and start making voice calls.
