Rooting gives you super user privileges and we now have full step by step instructions on how to root both WiFi and 4G variants of Samsung Galaxy A7 Lite.

First, we need to unlock the bootloader of A7 Lite. This steps is very important as without it you will not be able to perform next step.
Now, download your firmware from samfirmware.
On the computer, extract boot.img.lz4 from Stock AP tar file, then copy it to Tab A7 Lite.
Now, on the tablet, install ZArchiver which will help you to extract boot.img from boot.img.lz4.
Then, again on the tab, install Magisk and patch the boot.img that you have just extracted in previous step.
Now, on the windows computer, copy magisk_patched.img (in Tab\download) to PC, rename it to boot.img.
You can use 7zip to pack boot.img from previous step to boot.img.tar
Download correct boot.img.tar for your Tab A7 Lite variant. You can find that under Settings > About Tablet > Software information > Build Number. For instance, mine is a Wifi model Tab A7 Lite, model T220 4GB/64GB, whose build is T220XXU1AUJ1.

Use ODIN as administrator on your computer for flashing ROM. Fo that, go into download mode, (- Power off device – Hold Volume Up & Volume Down buttons at the same time, connect USB cable, keep holding until you see the screen – Press Volume Up to go to Download Mode). Connect your Tab A7 Lite to computer.
Click AP and find the file magisk_patched-24100_kfzm1.tar. It will not boot. Don’t worry it will reboot again, same thing as step 6. Now it fails and asks you to Factory Data Reset. Ignore the errors. Go ahead and do a factory reset.
And that is it – you have successfully rooted your Galaxy Tab A7 Lite.
If you want to get rid of bootloader warnings, follow these steps.
- Get the free app Termux.
- Download the up_param.tar file and move it to download folder (internal storage) – it might be the default location, if not then it should be here:
/storage/emulated/0/Download/up_param.tar - Open Termux, and then type the next series of lines of code (press enter in between each line):
sucd /
Code:dd if=/storage/emulated/0/Download/up_param.tar of=/dev/block/platform/bootdevice/by-name/up_param - Now reboot, and the bootloader warning screens should be gone
